I would like to volunteer, is that possible?

We are really grateful for all the volunteers, friends and family helping us out to get this big production ready for everyone to enjoy. Do you want to join the team? Please e-mail us an introduction of yourself at info@boardingfestival.com “ Volunteer – your name”, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

What is the location of BOARDING festival Groningen?

Martiniplaza, Leonard Springerlaan.
A large location, with great acoustics and fantastic facilities, 10 minutes walking from Groningen HS (central railway station).

Can I come by car?

Yes. The MartiniPlaza is situated next to the highway (N7). There is a large parking place situated directly next to the venue). A day-ticket will cost you € 12,-. Please, don’t be stupid and don’t drink and drive. The bike, train and buss are much better options. Tired after the festival? Leave your car and pick it up the next day.

Can I come by train?

It’s very easy to reach the venue by train. Just take the train to the main station (Groningen HS) and walk to the venue (12 minutes). You can also take the bus from the train station (line 10 to “Hoornsemeer”).
Trains will depart from 5.49 in the morning, so after the festival you’re able to take the train directly to almost every town in The Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.

Are there lockers available?

Yes, there will be more than enough lockers available.

Can I buy earplugs at the festival?

Yes, you can.

Can I charge my phone at the festival?

No, unfortunately we don’t have phone chargers available. Try to come with a full battery and just enjoy the party so you don’t miss anything!

Rules & Regulations

What happens if a festival has to be canceled due to national guidelines?

Your tickets will be valid for a next edition or you will have a refund.

Do I need to be vaccinated or tested to enter a BOARDING event?

According to the regulations of the Dutch government, visitors do not need to be vaccinated or tested to enter our events. Please keep in mind national guidelines can change.

Are drugs permitted during BOARDING events?

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE drugs policy. Both hard and soft drugs are banned from the venue.

What is the minimum age?

18. All visitors are obliged to carry valid proof of identity, which must be displayed on request.

Where can I buy tickets?

You can buy tickets on this website.

How can I resell my ticket?

If you are not able to visit the festival, you can easily sell your ticket by Ticketswap (www.ticketswap.com)

Can my ticket be scanned from my mobile phone?

The e-ticket can be scanned from your phone, but make sure you download it upfront, have your batteries loaded and turn your screen brightness fully up at the entrance to ensure a steady flow going in. You can also choose to print your ticket.

Food & Drinks

Do I have to buy tokens?

No, you can buy your drinks, lockers and food by PIN. We advise you to have some cash with you, so you can buy drinks in case of a (national) pin failure (There will be a Cash Point where you can change cash for “credits” at the Venue).

Can I enjoy cocktails at the festival?

Yes, there will be specialized cocktail shakers at the festival to prepare great cocktails for you.
